From Stepping Out to Step Mom
I was a single woman for a long time, enjoying a great lifestyle with dual careers as a recruiter AND travel
writer. Free time and evenings were often spent with my small and offbeat family or good friends and good
drinks. Ok, maybe I didn’t have that many drinks and I did spend many nights at home alone, but I promise I
was happy doing nothing ALONE.
I rarely subscribed to the modern day single woman’s ideology and statements. Statements such as : “I don’t
need a man to complete me, and I can take care of myself.” It was a given to me that I was self-sufficient
and probably have been since a very young age, enhanced by the fact that my parents divorced when I was 8.
Alhough I considered myself a happy and independent woman, I still wanted a husband and family. When I
finally met the man I'd fall in love with and marry, I didn't anticipate he would come as a package deal which
meant instant stepmom status for me, yahhh!
And I had no idea what I was doing. Or did I? Did I learn from my mother who raised us in large part on her
own? Did my training as a clinical social worker help me understand the needs of both children from
divorced families as well as the needs of woman who gets married later in life and seeks balance as
not to lose sight of her past completely?
Do you wish on stars and birthday candles? Do you make wishes on wishing flowers and blow them out to the
universe? Do you take a moment each day to give thanks for what you have and what you want to have? As
Thanksgiving approaches we are reminded to be thankful for all we have; our homes, families, pets, friends, health,
clothes, food, a job and the ability to endure tough times in life and know we will successfully come through the other
side better than we were before.
Life is sometimes so busy, stressful and overwhelming that we run through each day without enjoying any part of it or
feeling love for a precious person in your day. It is so important to be conscious and present in each moment as we go
through our day and know that each experience good or bad is part of who we are, what we are feeling and calling into
our lives. If you notice more unhappy moments than happy, loving moments, maybe you need to pay attention to how
you feel and what you are giving out. Happiness brings happiness and negativity draws negativity; it is actually physics.

The Victorian Charm Inn 118 York Ave. Towanda, PA 18848
Come and enjoy a stay at our Queen Ann Victorian style home, built in 1897 by J. A. Decker.
He was a wealthy lumber baron and banker, who built this impressive 30 room home for his family. As
you arrive, you will be welcomed by the front wrap around porch with pedestal columns and a double
entry with cut glass. As you enter, you will be embraced with unique cherry and oak woodwork, stained
glass windows, and beautiful antiques throughout. The large stained glass window that beautifies the grand
cherry staircase, welcomes you to the second and third floors. This is where the main guest rooms are
located. The third floor was originally a ballroom, which was later modified into guest rooms. These
modifications were made by the Mandeville family who bought the home in the early 1900s. As a result
of the stock market crash, the home was then converted into a bed and breakfast.

An Ever Evolving Dance Experience By
Have you ever seen an angel?
Have you ever seen an angel dance?
They are all around us you know.
Making their presence known in one way or another.
For some its a divine intervention, an epiphany, a
message sign or signal that in many cases make it
impossible to deny the presence of something thats
beyond us but very close to us at the same time.
Its overwhelming and probably why so many discard the
experience and rationalize it immediately.
I know that without a shadow of a doubt that these
creatures exist, in fact this past Saturday night the first of
February I was witness to what I will call a happening
(A) Live From The Scrapheap
"Alive From The Scrapheap"
A new album by Christina Rubino is playing in the background right now.
I'm listening to it as I write this article.
The Lyrics are smart the musical accompaniment is apropos.
Nothing To Lose and Nothing To Gain, a sad and melancholy name for a song.
How could I just fall like that, your a hundred shades of wrong
but you don't care
The base appears in this song and reminds me that
sometimes I just love my own pain.
I am not going to complain about it or announce it or discuss it with my friends
because I'm a hundred shades of wrong and I don't care,
well that may not be true as I do care - I care to much sometimes and then
comes the disappointment.
Disappointment has created quite a good living for me.
Charming Cottage ,artist owned, Walk to Beach, close to town fireplace, mooring. sleep 6
Absolutely loved this house and will definitely plan on staying here again! My husband is originally from
Connecticut and his entire family still lives there. Traditionally we stay with family when we visit but I
decided to rent a house this trip so we could entertain and have everyone over. This house was charming and
very comfortable. It was my mother in laws 80th birthday and I had about 25 family members over for a
dinner party. Every person who entered the house commented on what a terrific cottage it was. Having the
upstairs loft was a perfect space for my son to have his privacy and a place to relax. He (and I) loved having
the wireless internet connection that worked great! The outdoor area was very private and the deck was a
wonderful space to hang out and kick back. Everyone really enjoyed the art work throughout the house and
commented that it provided warmth and character to the cottage. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

events in the international art market calendar.
LOCATION AND HOURS
Fountain Art Fair was founded in 2006 by David Kesting, John Leo, and Lincoln Capla as an
attempt to leverage support for smaller independent galleries, collectives and artists who wished to gain
access to a larger audience of collectors and critics. From its roots deep within the independent
Williamsburg, Brooklyn art scene, Fountain has grown to represent over 80 international avant garde
galleries and projects, showcasing progressive primary-market works in New York, Miami,
Chicago and Los Angeles.
Fountain Art Fair has received critical acclaim for its uniquely alternative art fair model and genuine
dedication to the artists and galleries who share in its vision and ideology. Celebrated as the first of a new
influential generation of alternative fairs, Fountain is reinterpreting the concept of the art fair experience and
paving a new path for the future of contemporary art.
The story of how Hazen Manor came to be. It all started in 2005, when Jennifer TeWinkle, who
was at the time still JenFerrante, sat at her computer searching the internet for interesting properties.
Right away 9582 Hazen Road caught her attention and so she watched. As the price of the property
on Hazen Road dropped, her interest grew and finally one sunny July afternoon she drove though the
scenic countryside and fell in love. To say the house needed a little work is an understatement but the
views were breathtaking so Jen called a friend of hers who is a real estate agent and set an
appointment for the following afternoon. Accompanied by her boyfriend, Roger, Mary, her agent and
Paul, Mary’s fiancé, Jen toured the expansive old home in dire need of repair. The men thought she
was crazy but Jen could already picture a charming country inn.
