Wear Red Lipstick and a Brooch
After receiving a handful of compliments on a new blouse I wore at a recent fundraiser..I had a thought.

Wow, what a shock, ME have a thought??

The blouse was a dark wine color and it came with a white and pink brooch attached to the left shoulder area.

Here is my thought, "Women do not wear brooches like they used to."  It is in a sense, a lost art!
Brooch art.

Why is that? why don't women today wear brooches? OR red lipstick for that matter??

Maybe alone, maybe together. A double whammy.

Red lipstick AND a Brooch!

A real shock to the culture system? I disagree. I think it will bring back that antique female beauty. A time when if you boasted a tan,
it meant that you were a manual laborer, not wealthy. How things have changed. The wealthy walked around with parasols to protect
their silky white skin. If that is the case, why did I spend so many growing years, trying to get the perfect tan, all the while knowing
intellectually that this would never happen, not with my melanin OR lack thereof!

It took me many years to come to love who I am. A fair skin, brooch wearing "antique styled" woman!

Now it is time for all women to love who they are.

Fair or dark skinned; college educated or street smart; short or tall; urban chick or suburban chick and EVERYTHING/EVERYONE
in between!

Love, Ellie
