Born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1981, Maxime Portugais is a self-taught painter with a Master’s Degree in Production
Management. While his main focus is and will continue to be portraits, he has begun to transition his work into more
abstract paintings involving more colour and texture. In his newest line of portraits, Maxime incorporates what he learned
from abstraction studies to express what he gets from a person and go beyond the picture. His work is represented in
private collections across Canada, the United States and Europe
