INCREASE OF AUTO SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS AROUND THE WORLD

Dickson Despommier, teacher of public health at Columbia University in New York, came up with the proposed vertical
farms and it attracted architects and builders throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Another proposal in New York was the building Dragonfly Vertical Farm, by Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut and not yet
approved.

Inspired by the wings of a dragonfly, provides research laboratories and production areas of orchards and vegetable gardens.
The spaces between the "wings" have solar energy systems to accumulate and keep the warm air inside the structure throughout
the winter. In summer, the vertical garden outside are able to filter rainwater and reuse it in the plantations.
This project could accommodate 28 areas for production of fruits, vegetables, grains and milk, at 132 floors and 600m high.
The idea is similar to the Canadian enterprise Harvest Green Project Office Roms Architects, winner of "The 2030 Challenge"
designed to reward solutions that reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

This project would also support the creation of animals and birds, as well as rooms for fish reproduction which all production would
be marketed to the public on the ground floor, where there would be a supermarket.
Practically the idea of creation is the same: municipal buildings with solar power system or wind and floors divided into different
types of agricultural production. In all treatment recovery of rainwater and other important details to give the building a characteristic
auto sustanable.

It will be possible one day find a cow grazing on the 35th floor of a building?
Or visit a huge aquarium in your coverage?
Who knows, in the near future.
Let's wait and see.

Regards.
