What's in a Price?
A Comparison of National Home Price Series

Since all real estate is local, interpreting changes in home
prices at the national or metropolitan level can be
difficult. Not only that, but with so many housing price
measures it can also be difficult to determine what the
data each series presents is saying about the housing
market. In order to break down the various series and
detail their differences, the Research Division has
compared the four major home price indexes that market
participants follow. They are the National Association of
REALTORS® Median Sales Price, the Case-Shiller Index
group, and two Conventional Mortgage Home Price
Indices: one by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise
Oversight (OFHEO) and one by Freddie Mac.

the following green attributes:
*LEED 2.0 Gold certified
*Green Power
*Native LandscapingGreen building is the practice of increasing the
efficiency with which buildings use resources — energy, water, and
materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the
environment during the building's lifecycle, through better siting, design,
construction, operation, maintenance, and removal.

Green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built
environment on human health and the natural environment by:

Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation
A similar concept is natural building, which is usually on a smaller scale
and tends to focus on the use of natural materials that are available
locally. Other commonly used terms include
sustainable design and
green architecture.
