Teddi Rogers is a Manhattan based artist who works and lives on the Upper West Side. In 2008 she
graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in affiliation with
Tufts University. Teddi has been exhibiting her work throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn for the past
year.
Teddi is driven to create art that accesses the viewer’s psyche on a very individual level. It is her hope
that viewing the work results in a strong, visceral reaction. Her pieces discuss the ephemeral, and are
heavy with nostalgia and loss. Teddi’s subject matter originates from her personal narrative, but her
artistic process translates the personal into an image that can be affective on a universal level. Lost
loves, family and friends, fleeting moments, and significant places all play roles in the work.

Teddi uses texture, organic materials, heightened color, and varied brushwork to activate different
pressure points of the visual sense.
These devices are used in the way that a smell, taste, place, etc. can prompt a remembrance.
