Victoria E. Herrera was born in Panama. After attending Moore College of Art, she migrated to the United
States where she has resided since 1989. She is a classically trained artist devoted to the resurgence and
preservation of representational painting in art. With over fifteen years of experience in Fine Art, Victoria
specializes in floral paintings of very large scale as well as portraiture and landscape work.
Decided to follow her desired to learn the techniques of the Old Masters, Victoria moved to New York in 2006
and graduated in 2012 from a 4 year Fundamental program at the prestigious Grand Central Academy of Art
where she was classically trained by Jacob Collins, as well as Mark Tennant, Steven Assael and Nelson
Shanks among many other great artists and maestros. Victoria has had two solo shows internationally and has
participated in numerous group shows in the East coast. She works from her studio in Montclair, NJ. The
technical expertise, as well as the exceptional treatment of light and shadow and the human form is evident
and much appreciated in Victoria’s work.
