"I am Scared of my Laundry"
Do you ever get to a point where you are just so overwhelmed with cleaning, organizing, and trying to multi-multi task? Especially this
time of year, "spring cleaning" etc..the pressure is on! We can almost NO LONGER hide under the blanket, in our apartments/homes, not
shave our legs etc.
Now about the Laundry specifically.
You are usually good about doing your laundry on a fairly regular basis, as not to overgrow your whites and colors, right?
However, how do you feel when you pass that threshold and are no longer in regular "laundry doing" mode. When the 1, 2 weeks have
passed. When you realize you really have NOTHING to wear. When it gets so bad you have to consider putting "those" jeans on again?
And NOW add to the mix, a BLANKET!! You know the thing you really haven't washed in weeks or a month. You keep saying "i'll spot
clean it or brush the cat hair off." I mean really, how much FREEBREEZE can you use before even your CAT is hiding under the bed..!!
So now you have a mix of colors, whites, a blanket and maybe even your WINTER COAT..the one you need to wash even if you are
just putting it away after the crazy winter weather has passed!
Ok so you have come to terms with the fact that you can no longer look away and maybe even mentally justify that the load is "not that
big." Either way, you have made the adjustment and are even ready to place the various dirty loads in the wagon and secure your change
and your detergent. CHANGE and DETERGENT?!
Oh no. You JUST realized you should have bought the All -Dye Free when it was on sale- 2 for 1. You REFUSE to use bleach laden
detergents or any other filled with non-biodegradable chemicals (which most are filled with). You may even stretch and use the dish
detergent instead!
Do you have enough quarters? They seem to go so fast..You are so happy when you first splurge for the $10 roll from the bank.and
before you know it, in 2 wash sessions its gone! For those who have their own machines, the aforementioned is irrelevant. But in this day
of shortages, you still have to watch you water usage, regardless of the fact if it is your own machine or not.
Ok, so you waited and waited this time and promise yourself it WON'T happen AGAIN. So, you get down to the laundry room and there
THEY AREEE. Machineees...Yippee
FILLED, Filled because everyone had the same idea and thought the new "best time" to do your laundry is later at night or really early in
the morning! Oh wow, when will it end, when will we get it right??
I would say later is still always best, because at least THEN, you have a chance of meeting a nice guy or girl !
And you already have something in common and if you are really lucky you can combine efforts one day and wash Calvin and Victoria
together!
Happy Washing! Ellie R.
