I make figurative paintings that are deeply indebted to the formal elements of geometric abstraction. The images merge intense attention to
detail and technical virtuosity with a constant awareness of the flatness of the surface. The result is an interaction between deep illusionistic
space and flat planes.
Bio:
Eileen grew up in Westchester County, NY, and received a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MFA from Pratt Institute. She has spent the
last ten years living and working in Brooklyn. She has shown widely in New York City and the Hudson Valley, and has been a fellow at Yaddo
and the Vermont Studio Center
