It's already been an exciting year for FIGMENT... and things are just getting started. You'll be hearing more from us in the coming weeks, but we wanted
to fill you in on some of our news & updates.

* FIGMENT Boston -- We're expanding beyond NYC and partnering with the Cambridge Arts Council to bring you a one-day participatory arts event
along the Charles River on June 5th. Mark your calendar!

* FIGMENT NYC Event -- The response from artists and community members has been spectacular thus far, and we look forward to celebrating life &
art with you June 11 - 13 on Governors Island. Stay tuned for more!

* FIGMENT NYC Mini-Golf -- This year, FIGMENT will host a 9-hole Mini-Golf Course, with 2 bonus holes from 2008 and 2009. We'll be posting artistic
renderings of each of the holes soon, each capturing the Mini-Golf theme of the World's Fair. You can play on Governors Island from June through

* FIGMENT NYC Season-long Sculpture Garden -- Several artists are already starting to work on large-scale sculptures, which will be in an
interactive exhibit on Governors Island June through October. The submissions this year were stellar and we will post artistic renderings soon!

* City of Dreams Pavilion -- Co-hosted by FIGMENT, the ENYA Committee of AIANY, and SEAoNY, New York's Governors Island will have a pavilion all
summer long to be a focal point for arts, sustainability, and shade on the Island. Our design jury has chosen 4 finalists, and we will be announcing the
winning design in the coming weeks!

We have already received a few grants to help with some of our 2010 expenses. Wish us luck as our fundraising drive kicks into high gear... and save
the date:

* Groundbreaking (NYC) -- Save the date for our fundraiser event on April 28th... an art preview and wine reception, where you can have the
opportunity to preview the major art projects for FIGMENT 2010 and join us for intimate conversation with FIGMENT producers and artists.

FIGMENT celebrates an abundance of creativity and passion, challenging artists and our communities to find new ways to create, share, think,
and dream. Become a part of events in NYC (June 11-13) andBoston (June 5), and interactive exhibits on NYC's Governors Island from June
