Known as a signature hotel of the Borgata, The Water Club in Atlantic City, NJ is a full service spa style hotel. There is no casino in the hotel, however you can easily walk through the “hall of shops” to get to the Borgata casino, without ever going outside.
With 800 guest rooms and 43 floors, the Water Club’s cosmopolitan and spa designs gives you a sense of instant gratification and constant pampering! Just the name of the Spa- “Immersion,” evokes a feeling of detoxification and total wellness.
Immersion Spa offers unique Balinese style massages, Jacuzzis and a “cold dip” mini-pool. The staff is well trained and very friendly. While you wait for your treatment, you can indulge in fresh fruit and elegant herbal teas. You probably won’t want to leave the spa even after your massage. Beautifully decorated with bamboo wood, baby blue pillows and plush robes, The Immersion Spa at the Water Club is spectacular!
Perhaps you prefer an early breakfast or light dinner? Then a visit to the “Sunroom” is a must. With natural sunlight filtering through, the Sunroom is a great place to read your paper and be with people or with yourself. The Sunroom offers a bar, very comfortable couches with a view of an earthen colored, brick waterfall.
Just off the lobby, the Sunroom is a unique dining experience and I highly recommend the Scrambled Egg Sandwich and the Smoothies with Greek Yogurt. This is no ordinary scrambled egg sandwich, this is an herb infused super sized sandwich. It is served with home made potatoes and a delicate cheese.
Now, about the “hall shops.” These high end couture items are a beauty to the eye. Flanked on each side of the hall between the Water Club and The Borgata are shops such as Hearts on Fire Diamonds and Cavalli for Men. Open late on weekends, the shops are great for window shopping or post “casino win” shopping! Atlantic City also has over 50 famous outlet stores right near the Convention Center.
A quick walk through to the Borgata will take you to a variety of restaurants such as Izakaya ( fine Japanese cuisine), dance clubs, lounges and a large event center. The event center hosts famous comedians such as Robin Williams, and ageless rock bands such as Steely Dan and The Who.
The rooms are elegant and multi functional but not inexpensive. The Water Club guest rooms are eco-friendly and tastefully designed with flameless candles, flat screen televisions and L-Occitane soaps. They spare no expense in their design and services. Room service is quick and delicious.
As the area’s first boutique spa hotel, The Water Club creates a world of its own and is a must see and stay while visiting the ever growing Atlantic City.
